My Laptop Digital Setup
even tho my phones dont have social media, i can still do that by going on my laptop
so in order to stop that too i have to put on a lot of digital restrictions
The Precious Software for this setup
the one app that i use for this setup is Cold Turkey Blocker
it's the only app i know that can't be bypassed
i mainly use it for website blocking, so there has to be an extension to be installed in the browser
for most of the blockers out there, u can just delete the extension, but not for this one
when you remove it, the turkey will block you from opening the browser unless u have reinstalled the extension
even with this way, you can still uninstall the desktop app itself
u can't
it wont run the uninstall program unless the block is over, and in order to remove the app while a block isrunning, u need to have a special uninstaller
how to deal with it?: just block the link for the uninstaller itself
another one (dj khaled)
and this other one is from the same company: Cold Turkey Micromanager
it only whitelists 1 app only
making the great feature to use when writing blogs like this
What to Block with It
now here come the website blocks
the one website that i always block is youtube
i put that bitch on a 12 year block thats how bad it is
out of all of the distractions i could be addicted, the one that i was most addicted to is youtube
because of its vast library full of hooking content cutting scences every 2 seconds, of course everyone would be addicted
beside from youtube
i usually have an alarm to remind me to make a specific website exceptions list for that specific task, because for every task i always block the whole internet
Other Stuff
i normally use thorium cuz its the fastest browser on earth, but since its not detectable by turkey i switch to brave (the second fastest browser on earth)
i also use task scheduler and autohotkey to automatically turn on grayscale mode on startup, so that i will be less stimulated
i also use calmy writer to write things beside from markdown (cuz markdowns only for blogs)
